Privacy and cookies

What Velaris Brief collects about visitors, and how to control it.

What we measure

Velaris Brief uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to count visits and understand which articles are read. We use it only if you accept analytics cookies in the banner. If you decline, or do not choose, the Google tag is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

What Google Analytics collects

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives information such as the pages you view, approximate location, browser and device type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not use it for advertising, and we have switched off Google's advertising features and personalised ads. We do not collect your name, e-mail address or any account details through the site.

Your choice

The choice you make in the banner is saved in your browser. You can change it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Choosing Decline there removes the analytics cookies set by this site.

Other cookies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. It stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. Articles may link to other websites, which have their own policies.
